3/8" Chromoly Push Rods/Uncut (Type 6)

These push rods are made out of chromoly steel and do not expand at the same rate as aluminum. With these, you have to set your valves at .003" so they don't rattle as the motor gets warm. We do not recommend steel push rods unless you are running a large cam and dual valve springs, at which point, your car is now more of a toy then a reliable daily driver. At .003" clearance you will need to adjust your valves frequently. The rods come uncut, so you'll need a lathe to cut them or you can call us with the measurements and we'll cut them for you. You must set up your rocker geometry first, as this determines the length. If you don't know how do this. If you don't know how to do this, call us and we will talk you through it.
