Bus IRS Trans into Bug Mounts (Type 6)

Putting a Bus IRS trans into your bug is the way to go, because it comes with a lower ring and pinion stock and is a stronger trans. The only bad thing we can say is that it's a lot of work getting it in a Bug body. If you don't have a lift kit on your Bug, you will have to do some cutting on the body. The other note is connecting the shift rod presents some problems in a Bug. Also the axles will have to be a custom length.
